Norm gets a voice!

Posted on: August 23rd, 2015 by dreamincode No Comments

After animating Norm and presenting that to you guyz, it was time to give him a voice! Erik did all the voice records for Norm and Faisal is now working hard to get the sounds game ready. We ended up having a great time and recorded everything that fits Norm’s animations like dying, jumping, screaming like a little girl because he’s scared. Maybe we should make him fart if he scares really hard :).

Next step: Making the level objects for the demo. The following weeks we are going to work on all the 3d object that should be places in the demo level. After creating the objects, we are going to place them in the level. We are going to make a fun, challenging, stunning demo for you guyz. Just you wait ;).

Please keep following us, give us comments and share the site/game with you friends.

Hope to see you with our next update!

Check out Norms first moves!

Posted on: August 17th, 2015 by Erik Turkesteen No Comments

After two weeks of vacation we proceeded with the development of our demo. Last week we gave Norm some new sexy moves. In the video you can see the following animations:

Walking: We tried to make Norms walk a bit goofy because he’s a frightened clumsy little guy. And look at his head- and backtail go. Isn’t that a funny sight?

Jumping: Norm can jump of course. Looking all frightened not knowing jumping could be that much fun.

Sliding: Norm can slide. He’s a worm so he’s covered with slime. Using his slime he can slide for a small period of time. In the final build we will add a slimetrail  to this animation.

Wall-slide: Norm can also stick on walls because of his slime. In the final build we will add a slimetrail  to this animation.

Thanks for reading our news. Like always, leave a message. We love to hear your comments. And you can always share our website with your friends. We don’t mind ;).

See you soon!

Norm comes to life!

Posted on: July 25th, 2015 by Erik Turkesteen No Comments

This week we started working on the new demo of Meet Norm. The first step was making a 3D version of Norm. We want to make Norm look like a frightened teenager, who’s scared of everything that comes in his path. Vince struggled to make this happen. But with a good result. At least, that’s what we think :). And now, Norm comes to life, he’s alive, alive! (muhaha)

After that we made a control rig for Norm so he can make all kinds of faces. In the following video you can see some of the faces and moves he can make with the current control rig. And please, please respect the awesome sound effects Vince made. Enjoy!

Please leave your comments and tell us what you think! We need your help to improve the game ;).

jjWe made the first model of Norm in 3D. He is coming to life! During the kickstarter campagne we are going to (3d) print these figurines as a reward. Later on we can print these figurines with your characteristics or name on it! How cool would that be? What would you look like if you were a worm?

NormWe gave Norms’ design some updates. We wanted to give him some more character and exposure for his anxiety disorder. Doesn’t he look scared now? We also gave him a backpack in which he can collect his weapons and tools.
